As a travel RN in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), youll contribute to a Level II Trauma facility, caring for children in a respected teaching hospital setting. Schedule:
- 7:00 AM 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active RN license with at least 1 year of recent acute care hospital PICU RN experience
- BLS & PALS certifications required
- CRRT experience, APHON certification, or previous work in a pediatric teaching hospital highly preferred
- Strong IV start and blood draw skills, with experience in TPT placements
- Ability to excel under pressure, prioritize patient care, and adapt to a teaching environment
Typical Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care with a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team for holistic care
- Monitor and document in Meditech/CPN EMR
- Perform and assist with pediatric procedures including IV starts and TPT placements
- Adhere to updated unit policies, utilizing advanced equipment and resources
