Job Description

As a travel RN in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), youll contribute to a Level II Trauma facility, caring for children in a respected teaching hospital setting. Schedule:

  • 7:00 AM 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with at least 1 year of recent acute care hospital PICU RN experience
  • BLS & PALS certifications required
  • CRRT experience, APHON certification, or previous work in a pediatric teaching hospital highly preferred
  • Strong IV start and blood draw skills, with experience in TPT placements
  • Ability to excel under pressure, prioritize patient care, and adapt to a teaching environment

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care with a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team for holistic care
  • Monitor and document in Meditech/CPN EMR
  • Perform and assist with pediatric procedures including IV starts and TPT placements
  • Adhere to updated unit policies, utilizing advanced equipment and resources
