This assignment in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) introduces you to a high-acuity Level II Trauma environment with advanced technology and a dedicated, experienced interdisciplinary team. The opportunity enables you to expand your resume by collaborating with experts in a teaching hospital and navigating Meditech/CPN charting systems.
Schedule/Hours:
- 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
Role Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PICU RN experience
- Active RN license
- Current BLS & PALS certifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) experience
- APHON (Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses) credentials
- Pediatric teaching hospital experience
Unit Responsibilities:
- Provide critical care to pediatric patients as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team
- Perform IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements
- Manage a 2:1 patient ratio, ensuring detailed, attentive care
- Utilize advanced central monitoring equipment and manage documentation with Meditech/CPN EMR
