Schedule/Hours:
- 7:00pm 7:00am shifts
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
- Holiday coverage: 75% of holidays
- Schedule cycle: Every 6 weeks
- No on-call requirement
Your Professional Journey Includes:
As a travel RN specializing in pediatrics, youll serve in diverse units, collaborating with dedicated teams focused on pediatric hem/oncology and acute care. With access to cutting-edge technology (Epic, Omnicell, Alaris), youll manage a varied pediatric patient population that includes cases like leukemia, diabetes, cystic fibrosis, and general adolescent medicine. Qualifications and Experience:
- Active RN licensure
- BLS certification required; PALS preferred
- Minimum 1 year in pediatric acute care (PHO or PA unit)
- Chemo administration and central line management experience
- Strong pediatric assessment skills and critical thinking abilities
- Open to first-time travelers with a robust pediatric background
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver holistic, evidence-based nursing care for pediatric patients
- Safely administer medications, including chemotherapy
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including hospitalists and intensivists
- Manage central lines, monitor bedside telemetry, and document in Epic EMR
- Support a family-centered care approach
- Float between pediatric acute and hem/oncology units as needed
