This travel nursing opportunity puts you at the heart of pediatric oncology and adolescent medicine, with exposure to a diverse patient population and the latest industry practices. Schedule/Hours
- 7:00 AM 7:00 PM shifts
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
- No on-call requirement
- Holiday expectations: 75% of holidays
Qualifications
- Active RN license with at least one year in pediatric hem/oncology acute care
- First-time travelers welcome if you have a strong pediatric background
- Required: BLS, APHON chemo certification; PALS preferred
- Proficient in central line management, chemotherapy administration, pediatric assessment, and critical thinking
Responsibilities
- Provide care for pediatric patients with leukemia, solid tumors, sickle cell crisis, diabetes, and related adolescent medical needs
- Manage 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratio in hem/oncology, 1:4-5 in adolescent medicine
- Work alongside supportive CNAs, phlebotomists, charge nurses, and 24/7 hospitalist/intensivist team
- Float as needed between PA, PHO, and other pediatric units (excluding the ED)
- Utilize Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell dispensing systems
