This travel nursing role provides exposure to progressive leadership styles and offers a wealth of opportunities for professional development in both Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Acute Pediatric settings. The variety of casesfrom leukemia and solid tumors to chronic diseases and adolescent medicineensures continual learning and skill advancement. Schedule/Hours:

  • 7p-7a shifts
  • Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
  • No on-call requirement
  • Holiday coverage: 75% of holidays
  • Scheduling cycle: every 6 weeks

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with strong background in Pediatric nursing
  • Minimum one year of recent Pediatric Hem/Oncology Acute Care (PHO) or Pediatric Acute Care (PA) experience
  • BLS required; PALS preferred
  • Proficient in central line management, chemotherapy administration, pediatric assessment, and critical thinking
  • Experience with EMR (Epic), Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing systems

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care to pediatric and adolescent populations across designated units
  • Administer chemotherapy, manage central lines, and perform comprehensive pediatric assessments
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including CNAs, Hospitalists, Resource Nurses, and more
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in safety and quality improvement initiatives
  • Wear royal blue scrubs, with the option for pediatric-themed tops
