This travel nursing role provides exposure to progressive leadership styles and offers a wealth of opportunities for professional development in both Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Acute Pediatric settings. Schedule/Hours:
- 7p-7a shifts
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
- No on-call requirement
- Holiday coverage: 75% of holidays
- Scheduling cycle: every 6 weeks
Qualifications:
- Active RN license with strong background in Pediatric nursing
- Minimum one year of recent Pediatric Hem/Oncology Acute Care (PHO) or Pediatric Acute Care (PA) experience
- BLS required; PALS preferred
- Proficient in central line management, chemotherapy administration, pediatric assessment, and critical thinking
- Experience with EMR (Epic), Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing systems
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care to pediatric and adolescent populations across designated units
- Administer chemotherapy, manage central lines, and perform comprehensive pediatric assessments
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including CNAs, Hospitalists, Resource Nurses, and more
- Maintain accurate records and participate in safety and quality improvement initiatives
- Wear royal blue scrubs, with the option for pediatric-themed tops
