Schedule/Hours:
- Shift: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
- Six-week schedule cycles
- Every other weekend rotation
- No on call
- 75% of holidays expected
- Department orientation and comprehensive onboarding provided
This role places you at the heart of pediatric oncology/hematology care within a top-tier academic medical center. Role Requirements:
- Active RN licensure
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in pediatric hem/oncology acute care
- Chemo certification (APHON required)
- BLS required; PALS preferred
- Excellent central line management and chemotherapy administration skills
- Proficiency in pediatric assessment and critical thinking
- EMR experience with Epic preferred
- Open to first-time travelers with a strong pediatric background
Primary Duties:
- Deliver comprehensive care to pediatric oncology and adolescent medicine patients
- Manage patient loads based on RN:patient ratios (1:3-4 in hem/onc, 1:4-5 in adolescent medicine)
- Collaborate with CNAs, resource nurses, and interdisciplinary staff
- Administer chemotherapy and manage central lines
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation
