Schedule/Hours
- 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
- Weekend rotation: Every other
- No on-call
- Must be available for 75% of holidays
- 6-week scheduling cycles
Key Qualifications
- Active RN License
- Minimum 1 year of acute care pediatric hem/oncology experience
- BLS certification (PALS preferred)
- APHON chemo certification required
- Strong pediatric assessment, central line management, and critical thinking skills
- EMR experience (Epic preferred)
- First-time travelers welcome with robust pediatric background
Responsibilities
- Manage care for pediatric patients with diagnoses like leukemia, solid tumors, sickle cell, diabetes, and cystic fibrosis
- Administer chemotherapy and monitor responses
- Perform central line and IV management
- Function as part of a team with CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomists, hospitalists, and intensivists
- Routinely float between pediatric hem/oncology and adolescent medicine units (excluding pediatric ED)
- Utilize Epic, Alaris pumps, Omnicell, and unit-specific equipment
