This opportunity allows Registered Nurses to broaden their expertise, particularly within pediatric oncology and adolescent medicine, thanks to a diverse patient population and advanced medical technology. Schedule/Hours:
- 7:00 am7:00 pm shifts
- Weekend rotation: every other weekend
- No on-call requirement
- Holiday coverage: 75% of holidays (as part of travel expectation)
- Schedule cycles: every 6 weeks
- Free parking onsite
Essential Qualifications:
- Active RN licensure with 1+ year in pediatric hematology/oncology acute care
- BLS required; APHON chemotherapy certification mandatory; PALS preferred
- Strong skills in pediatric assessment, central line management, and chemotherapy administration
- Prior experience with Epic, Alaris, and Omnicell is advantageous
- First-time travelers with robust pediatric backgrounds welcomed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional care for patients with leukemia, solid tumors, sickle cell crisis, diabetes, and more
- Manage patient loads of 34 (hem/oncology) or 45 (adolescent medicine)
- Collaborate with CNAs, phlebotomy, IV/VAT teams, hospitalists, and other team members
- Float to various pediatric units as needed, excluding the Peds ED
