Schedule/Hours
- 7p7a shifts
- Every other weekend rotation
- No on-call requirement
- Schedule cycle every 6 weeks
- Expect to work 75% of holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS required; PALS preferred
- At least 1 year of acute pediatric hem/onc or pediatric acute care experience (PHO/PA)
- Strong background in pediatric assessment and critical thinking
- Experience with central line management and chemotherapy administration
- Epic EMR proficiency preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Care for pediatric patients with varied diagnoses, including leukemia, solid tumors, sickle cell crisis, cystic fibrosis, diabetes, and general adolescent medicine
- Manage patient ratios of 1:4-5 for RN assignments
- Float as needed between units (excluding Pediatric ED)
- Collaborate within a supportive team featuring CNAs, phlebotomy, IV/VAT, hospitalists, and intensivists
- Utilize Epic, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, and pediatric-specific equipment
