Schedule/Hours:
- 7:00 am 7:00 pm
- Every other weekend rotation
- No on-call requirement
- Holiday coverage: 75% of major holidays
- Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license (NC or compact)
- Minimum 1 year in pediatric hematology/oncology acute care
- BLS certification (PALS preferred)
- APHON chemo certification required
- Strong pediatric assessment and critical thinking skills
- Central line management and chemotherapy administration expertise
- EMR experience with Epic preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based patient care for children with leukemia, solid tumors, sickle cell crisis, diabetes, cystic fibrosis, and behavioral health overlays
- Maintain RN: patient ratios (Peds Hem/Onc: 1:3-4, Adolescent Medicine: 1:4-5)
- Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurse, and multidisciplinary teams
- Implement and monitor specialized therapies and treatments
- Maintain patient safety and foster a supportive, family-centered care environment
