Schedule/Hours:

  • 7:00 am 7:00 pm
  • Every other weekend rotation
  • No on-call requirement
  • Holiday coverage: 75% of major holidays
  • Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks

Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license (NC or compact)
  • Minimum 1 year in pediatric hematology/oncology acute care
  • BLS certification (PALS preferred)
  • APHON chemo certification required
  • Strong pediatric assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Central line management and chemotherapy administration expertise
  • EMR experience with Epic preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based patient care for children with leukemia, solid tumors, sickle cell crisis, diabetes, cystic fibrosis, and behavioral health overlays
  • Maintain RN: patient ratios (Peds Hem/Onc: 1:3-4, Adolescent Medicine: 1:4-5)
  • Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurse, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Implement and monitor specialized therapies and treatments
  • Maintain patient safety and foster a supportive, family-centered care environment
