Advance your practice while expanding your professional network and gaining fresh perspectives on patient care within a Level 1 Trauma and Stroke Center. The exposure to diverse leadership styles, evidence-based protocols, and advanced medical technologies like Epic, Alaris, and Omnicell will further enrich your resume.
Schedule:
- 7:00 am 7:00 pm shifts
- Every other weekend rotation
- No on-call; 75% holiday coverage expected
- Scheduling cycle every 6 weeks
Desired Background:
- RN license with 1+ year of acute pediatric hem/oncology experience
- Required: BLS, APHON chemo certification
- Preferred: PALS
- Strong pediatric assessment, central line management, and critical thinking abilities
- Comfortable with Epic EMR and high-acuity pediatric populations
- Open to first-time travelers with robust pediatric backgrounds
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to pediatric hem/oncology and adolescent medicine patients (ratios: 1:34 and 1:45)
- Administer chemotherapy and manage central lines
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team (CNA, HUC, resource nurse, RT, hospitalist, and intensivist support on-site)
- Document using Epic and safely utilize unit-specific equipment
- Contribute to a team-oriented, growth-focused unit culture
