With exposure to a variety of complex diagnosesranging from leukemia and sickle cell crisis to general adolescent medicinethis role promises robust professional development. Youll collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and learn from diverse leadership styles, expanding both your clinical and leadership skills for long-term career growth.
Schedule/Hours:
- 7:00 pm 7:00 am
- Every other weekend rotation
- No on-call requirement
- Holiday coverage: 75% of holidays
- Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
Qualifications:
- Active RN license, BLS required, PALS preferred
- 1 year minimum in pediatric acute care (PHO: 1 year in pediatric hem/oncology)
- Strong pediatric assessment, central line management, and chemo administration
- Critical thinking and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- First-time travelers welcomed with robust pediatric backgrounds
Responsibilities:
- Deliver holistic care to pediatric patients with acute and chronic conditions
- Manage patient assessments, interventions, and evaluations
- Oversee safe administration of medications and treatments, including chemotherapy
- Float between acute care and hem/oncology pediatric units as needed
- Collaborate closely with CNAs, charge nurses, and medical staff
