This travel nursing assignment at a renowned academic medical center offers exposure to advanced pediatric care and multidisciplinary teamwork, providing valuable perspectives to enhance your resume. Collaborate in a Level 1 Trauma facility, working with cutting-edge technology and learning from seasoned leaders, all while engaging with diverse patient populations facing complex health needs.
Schedule/Hours:
- 7a-7p shifts
- Every other weekend rotation
- No on-call requirements
- Travelers will work 75% of holidays
- Scheduling cycle: every 6 weeks
Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN license with experience in pediatric hematology/oncology acute care (minimum 1 year required on PHO)
- Chemo administration credentials (APHON required)
- BLS required; PALS preferred
- Strong skills in central line management, pediatric assessment, and critical thinking
- Willingness to float to other pediatric units (excluding pediatric ED)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to pediatric patients with diagnoses such as leukemia, solid tumors, sickle cell crisis, diabetes, cystic fibrosis, and behavioral health overlays
- Maintain safe and thorough documentation using Epic EMR
- Manage central lines and administer chemotherapy
- Collaborate within a supportive, multidisciplinary team environment
- Educate patients and families, promoting family-centered care
