Job Description
Provide specialized nursing care in pediatrics with a commitment to patient safety and family-centered care in a vibrant hospital setting located in Asheville, NC. This travel nursing role offers an opportunity to support a dynamic healthcare team while gaining rewarding experience in pediatric nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients according to established protocols and standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient progress.
- Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the hospitals electronic systems.
- Adhere to hospital policies, including strict tobacco-free campus regulations.
- Comply with KRONOS timekeeping guidelines for shift clock-in and clock-out procedures.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license with PEDS (Pediatric Nursing) experience.
- Prior pediatric nursing experience preferred.
- Ability to complete a 4-hour hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour shift on the floor.
- Knowledge of proper scrub color codes, including navy and white for RNs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to patient safety and a tobacco-free workplace.
