Working as a Registered Nurse in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, youll assume responsibility for a designated group of patients during your shift, prescribing and carrying out nursing care plans informed by collaborative input from physicians, the patient, and their loved ones. Every day brings new opportunities to expand your skillset, integrate patient teaching and discharge planning into care, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team dedicated to high-quality outcomes.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time travel engagement
  • Shifts based on assignment and unit needs

Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license
  • Previous PACU or critical care experience preferred
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS and/or NRP beneficial)
  • Strong clinical judgment and adaptability across age groups
  • Collaborative communication style for interdisciplinary teamwork

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing interventions for pre- and post-operative patients
  • Monitor patient status during anesthetic recovery, identifying and responding to acute needs
  • Coordinate care with physicians and allied health professionals
  • Provide education to patients and families for ongoing care and post-discharge needs
  • Delegate and supervise tasks to ensure safe, compliant practice among support staff
