Role Highlights:

• Schedule:
  • Fast-paced environment managing 3040 pediatric patients daily across 20 bays
  • RN ratios of 1:1 or 1:2, depending on acuity
• Orientation:
  • Comprehensive onboarding, including facility NEO day and two precepted shifts
  • Support from transporters, HUC/receptionist, PACU educator, and a dedicated manager
• Unit Culture:
  • Collaborative, all-hands-on-deck approach in an open bay unit
  • Frequent learning from diverse cases spanning all surgical specialties except cardiac

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license with BLS and PALS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of experience in critical care pediatrics (2 years preferred)
• Previous completion of at least one travel assignment
• Comfortable with telemetry monitoring, managing drips common in the ICU (heparin, insulin, occasional cardiac)
• Proficiency with EMR (EPIC), Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell meds, and Philips monitors
• Team-oriented, adaptable, ready to take initiative and seek guidance when needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality care to pediatric (and occasionally adult) post-operative patients
• Monitor telemetry and respond to evolving clinical needs using best-practice protocols
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including 24/7 in-house anesthesia
