Schedule/Hours:
- 13-week assignment
- 36 hrs/week guaranteed
- 4x10-hour shifts: 6:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m.
- Rotating on-call: 1012 days per 6-week period
- Floating to related units as needed
Core Qualifications:
- Current RN license in Arizona
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience
- Strong critical thinking and proven leadership abilities
- Proficient with Cerner EMR or willing to learn
- Collaborative approach with flexibility to float as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to post-anesthesia patients
- Assess, plan, and coordinate care following state Nurse Practice Act and hospital guidelines
- Work in close partnership with interdisciplinary surgical teams
- Prioritize and delegate patient care according to team strengths and experience
- Supervise and provide direction to assigned personnel
- Pursue ongoing professional development and continuing education
