As a PACU RN in a well-respected hospitals Pre-Op/Day Surgery/Phase II Recovery unit, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside leaders in transplant medicine and surgical care. This role places you at the heart of nationally recognized programs, fostering growth through exposure to advanced procedures, the latest equipment, and innovative patient care strategies. Schedule:

  • MondayFriday, 12:00 PM 8:30 PM (Variable/Flexible)
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • Weekend and call coverage requirements discussed during the interview

Qualifications:

  • Active TX RN License (no temporary licenses)
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Minimum of 2 years recent hospital and/or travel experience
  • Solid pre-op and Phase II surgical discharge experience
  • Preferred: PACU experience, strong IV skills, familiarity with Meditech

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional care for pre-operative and post-anesthetic patients
  • Collaborate in a 13-bed unit with strong support from secretaries, PCAs, and phlebotomists
  • Maintain precise documentation using Meditech and Hobilab systems
  • Respond to evolving patient needs, including pain management in partnership with anesthesia
  • Adhere to appearance, safety, and attendance policies
  • Willingness to float as necessary, following established guidelines
