This travel RN assignment serves a dynamic 20-bay pediatric PACU at a respected academic medical center, giving you exposure to high-acuity patients and interdisciplinary teams. Caring for children across surgical specialties (excluding cardiac), youll enhance your clinical expertise within a Level 1 Trauma and Stroke Center, gaining insight into state-of-the-art practices and varied leadership approaches. Schedule/Hours:

  • Traveler scheduledetails provided during interview

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum 1 year of critical care pediatric experience required; 2 years preferred
  • BLS and PALS certifications
  • Experience managing post-op patients, telemetry, and IV medications (heparin, insulin, cardiac drips)
  • Prior travel nursing experience (must have completed at least one assignment)
  • Strong collaboratorresourceful, communicative, and adaptable in open-bay, teamwork-focused environments

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct post-anesthesia care to pediatric (017 years), and occasionally adult, patients
  • Monitor telemetry and recognize emergent changes in patient condition
  • Safely administer IV medications and support including infusions commonly seen in ICU
  • Actively communicate and collaborate with PACU educators, charge RNs, anesthesia, and support staff
  • Document care using EPIC and utilize hospital-standard technology (Alaris, Omnicell, Philips monitors)
