Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active RN license with at least 1 year of critical care pediatric nursing required (2 years preferred)
  • Minimum one completed travel assignment
  • Certifications: BLS and PALS required
  • Expertise caring for post-op peds, comfortable with heparin and insulin gtts
  • Experience with telemetry monitoring; familiarity with EPIC, Alaris, Omnicell, Philips monitors
  • Strong team player, adaptable, self-motivated, skilled at seeking support when needed

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care for pediatric (and occasional adult) patients
  • Monitor patients vitals and recovery progress, reporting changes proactively
  • Collaborate closely with transporters, a PACU educator, and dedicated charge/manager (non-patient care)
  • Maintain safety and efficiency in a high-volume, fast-paced setting
  • Float to assist with adult cases if necessary
