Schedule/Hours:
- Shifts as designated by the units needs
- Opportunity to balance challenging work with memorable downtime explorations
Qualifications:
- Active RN license; pediatric PACU/critical care experience required (minimum 1 year, 2 years preferred)
- Previous travel nursing assignment required (no first-time travelers)
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- Confident managing common ICU drips (e.g., heparin, insulin), telemetry monitoring, and adaptable to occasional adult cases
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and open to an all-hands environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in PACU, covering most surgical specialties (excluding cardiac)
- Work closely with a supportive team including a PACU educator, transport staff, dedicated non-assigned charge nurse, and 24/7 anesthesia support
- Utilize EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Philips monitors
- Occasionally float to provide care for adult patients as needed
- Participate in orientation and continuous skill development opportunities
