Job Description

Deliver compassionate and skilled post-anesthesia care as part of the perioperative team, performing advanced functions as a Registered Nurse with a focus on the PACU setting. This contract position offers the chance to make a significant impact on patient recovery following surgical procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license
  • Recent experience in PACU, perioperative, or related acute care setting
  • Proficient in assessing, planning, and implementing patient care plans
  • Ability to coordinate and delegate care among team members
  • Advanced knowledge of perioperative nursing practices
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership and professionalism in a clinical setting

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position; full-time hours may be required based on patient and surgical schedules

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, monitor, and care for patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery
  • Collaborate with surgeons and surgical teams, including assisting under the direction of the primary operating surgeon during the perioperative phase
  • Maintain compliance with established Standards of Nursing Practice, facility policies, and Tenet Standards of Conduct
  • Promote a positive and cooperative environment among healthcare staff
  • Delegate and manage patient care assignments efficiently
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in patient records
  • Exhibit accountability for service quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness
  • Report directly to the Director of Perioperative Services
