Key Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with current standing
- Proven experience in PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) nursing
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to respond swiftly and thoughtfully to patient needs in fast-paced situations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both medical staff and patients
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position
Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients as they recover from anesthesia, tracking vital signs and overall condition
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by providers
- Quickly recognize and address complications or adverse reactions
- Provide clear information and support to patients and family members during recovery
- Maintain accurate, detailed patient records according to facility protocols
- Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams for smooth patient transitions
- Adhere to infection control and safety standards at all times
