Exciting opportunities are available for skilled Registered Nurses with Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience. This contract role offers the chance to deliver specialized care to post-operative patients in a fast-paced, supportive environment. Key Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year of recent PACU experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Exceptional communication and organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients vital signs and surgical sites during post-anesthesia recovery
- Assess and manage pain levels, and ensure patient comfort and safety following surgery
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition or emergencies
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Provide detailed, accurate documentation and hand-off reports
- Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery
- Adhere to strict infection control and patient safety guidelines
