Job Description

Exciting opportunities are available for skilled Registered Nurses with Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience. Key Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent PACU experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Exceptional communication and organizational abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitor patients vital signs and surgical sites during post-anesthesia recovery
  • Assess and manage pain levels, and ensure patient comfort and safety following surgery
  • Respond promptly to changes in patient condition or emergencies
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Provide detailed, accurate documentation and hand-off reports
  • Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery
  • Adhere to strict infection control and patient safety guidelines
