Job Description

Exciting opportunity available for a Registered Nurse experienced in Post-Anesthesia Care (PACU) to join a dynamic perioperative team on a contract basis. This role focuses on supporting surgical patients throughout their recovery and ensures that high standards of care are maintained at all times.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time contract position (exact schedule to be discussed during interview process)

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current and unrestricted RN license
  • Demonstrated PACU nursing experience
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are required
  • Exceptional assessment and communication abilities
  • Strong commitment to multidisciplinary teamwork
  • Familiarity with perioperative patient care and safety protocols

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for post-surgical patients in the PACU
  • Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and fellow health professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Act as an RN First Assist (RNFA) under the direction of the primary operating surgeon, supporting perioperative care following established facility policies and guidelines
  • Ensure delivery of care aligns with established Nursing Practice Standards and organizational values
  • Delegate appropriate tasks while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes
  • Exhibit professionalism and leadership within the perioperative team
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to quality improvement protocols
