Job Description

Step into a key patient care role that centers on supporting individuals before, during, and after surgical procedures. As an RN with PACU experience, you will assess, plan, and evaluate patient care, ensuring exceptional outcomes throughout the perioperative process. Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position with variable shifts, dependent on surgical schedule requirements.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current, unrestricted RN license
  • Proven experience in PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)
  • Expertise in perioperative care, including operating room support
  • RNFA certification or relevant first-assist operating experience highly preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond effectively in critical situations
  • Demonstrated leadership, organization, and team collaboration skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered care by thoroughly assessing patient needs and administering effective interventions in the PACU and perioperative settings
  • Collaborate closely with surgical teams and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient transitions and optimal care delivery
  • Assist under the direction of the primary operating surgeon during surgical procedures, performing delegated clinical tasks consistent with RNFA role parameters
  • Meet standards of nursing practice, and actively promote cooperation and communication among healthcare team members
  • Uphold established policies and participate in maintaining an ethical, safe, and supportive care environment
  • Foster professional excellence by embracing facility standards, contributing to quality improvement, and embodying key organizational values
