Step into a vital role as a registered nurse supporting patients through their post-anesthesia care journey. This opportunity focuses on providing exceptional recovery monitoring and comfort during the immediate post-surgical phase in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Demonstrated experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) or similar critical care setting
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment, monitoring, and critical thinking abilities
- Clear communication skills, compassion, and attention to detail
Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients vital signs and overall status during recovery from anesthesia
- Administer medications, fluids, and other prescribed interventions as directed
- Manage pain and discomfort with evidence-based nursing interventions
- Document assessments, treatments, and progress accurately in patient records
- Quickly respond to emergencies, changes in patient condition, or complications
- Educate patients and families on recovery expectations and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and other clinical teams for optimal outcomes
