This role focuses on delivering comprehensive perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment. As a Registered Nurse in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring the highest standards of nursing practice are met. You will collaborate closely with surgeons, healthcare teams, and patients to coordinate and manage care throughout the surgical experience. This position requires adherence to facility policies and professional conduct standards, with opportunities to demonstrate leadership and advance your clinical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide holistic nursing care to patients in the perioperative setting, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases
- Assist the primary operating surgeon during surgical procedures, supporting patient safety and comfort
- Assess patient conditions and respond promptly to changes, implementing individualized care plans
- Delegate responsibilities appropriately while promoting cooperation among multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accountability to established nursing standards, professional codes of conduct, and quality benchmarks
- Report directly to the Director of Perioperative Services, following facility protocols and guidelines
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with PACU experience or certification preferred
- Strong clinical knowledge in perioperative nursing and patient care coordination
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic surgical environment
