Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN license in the state of California
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Previous experience in PACU or perioperative care preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to upholding ethical nursing standards and fostering cooperation among team members
Schedule:
- Contract position; schedule details provided during interview process
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of patients recovering from anesthesia
- Coordinate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams for safe patient transitions
- Function under the direct guidance of the primary operating surgeon for perioperative care
- Fulfill accountability measures as set by national nursing standards and facility guidelines
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and quality assurance initiatives
- Demonstrate leadership and professionalism as a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA)
- Provide support and delegation as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes
