An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with PACU experience to provide critical care in a hospital setting. This contract position is based in a vibrant urban location in Oakland, CA and offers the chance to utilize specialized skills in a fast-paced perioperative environment.
Qualifications:
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license is mandatory.
- Proven experience in Critical Care nursing.
- Previous work in hospital Pre-op and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) required.
- Familiarity and proficiency with EPIC Op-time charting system.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Pre-op and PACU areas.
- Monitor patients vital signs, pain levels, and recovery progress post-surgery.
- Collaborate closely with surgical and anesthesiology teams to ensure seamless patient transitions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC Op-time system.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies during assigned hours.
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position with on-call availability up to 36 hours at no cost to the facility.
- Adherence to requested facility start date is critical; submissions with start dates more than two weeks later may be declined.
