Schedule/Hours:
- 40 hours per week
- On Call: 4 twelve-hour shifts within each 6-week period
- Weekend: Every other weekend required
- Holidays: Must work any holiday that coincides with your scheduled shifts
Qualifications:
- Current, active RN license
- Certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Previous PACU or perioperative nursing experience strongly preferred
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication abilities
- Flexibility and readiness to adapt to fast-paced, patient-centered environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe and effective recovery care for post-anesthesia surgical patients
- Assess patients vital signs and recovery progress
- Implement physician orders and promptly address changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care and discharge plans
