This role offers the opportunity to care for patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), working alongside experienced teams. Schedule/Hours:
- Travel assignment
- 1 weekend on-call rotation
- One night on-call per week
Key Qualifications:
- Current RN license, valid in the state of Texas
- At least one year of recent PACU nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia
- Monitor vital signs and respond quickly to changes in patient status
- Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and support staff
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care and procedures
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with facility policies
