Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Previous clinical experience in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) required
- Proficiency in monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia
- Ability to assess, identify, and intervene with post-surgical complications
- Strong IV, airway management, and pain control skills
- Current certifications in BLS and ACLS
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
- Adaptability to rapidly changing patient conditions
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe and effective nursing care to post-operative patients
- Monitor vital signs and neurological status, identifying any change promptly
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal recovery
- Manage medication administration, pain assessment, and wound care interventions
- Accurately document patient status, clinical interventions, and ongoing care plans
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
