Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Previous clinical experience in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) required
  • Proficiency in monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia
  • Ability to assess, identify, and intervene with post-surgical complications
  • Strong IV, airway management, and pain control skills
  • Current certifications in BLS and ACLS
  • Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
  • Adaptability to rapidly changing patient conditions

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe and effective nursing care to post-operative patients
  • Monitor vital signs and neurological status, identifying any change promptly
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal recovery
  • Manage medication administration, pain assessment, and wound care interventions
  • Accurately document patient status, clinical interventions, and ongoing care plans
  • Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
