A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with PACU experience in a specialized Endoscopy unit located in Lynn, MA. This contract position offers a structured daytime schedule with a rotating day shift, providing excellent on-site parking and a professional environment equipped to handle a busy endoscopy and GI procedural caseload.
Responsibilities include providing expert nursing care in a 7-room Endoscopy unit that conducts MAC sedation and conscious sedation procedures. The unit features 18 PACU bays and 8 procedural rooms, managing 60 to 70 diverse patient procedures daily. The nurse-to-patient ratio is maintained at 1:1 in procedure rooms and 1:2-3 in the PACU, ensuring focused patient care. The electronic medical record system in use is EPIC, supporting efficient documentation and communication.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Massachusetts RN License
- Minimum 2-3 years of nursing experience, preferably in GI/Endoscopy or PACU settings
- Proficient in GI Technician Endoscopy, Olympus scope setup, handling, and reprocessing
- Current AHA ACLS Certification
- SGNA or CBSPD certification is strongly preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts within department hours of 6:30 am to 5:30 pm
Schedule & Hours:
- 40 hours per week
- Primary shift: 7:15 am to 3:45 pm, with one rotating day from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
- On-call responsibilities in evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays are a part of the role
