Job Description

Bring your expertise as a skilled Registered Nurse with PACU experience to a dynamic clinical environment. This contract opportunity centers on delivering comprehensive care to post-anesthesia patients and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the finest quality outcomes. As a key member of the perioperative services team, youll also have the opportunity to assist under the direction of the primary operating surgeon, providing crucial support across all perioperative phases.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract assignment (duration discussed during interview)
  • Specific shift requirements shared during interview process

Qualifications:

  • Current, unrestricted RN license
  • Demonstrated expertise in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing
  • Strong assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation skills
  • RNFA certification or experience preferred (but not required)
  • Solid understanding of nursing standards and perioperative best practices
  • Proven leadership qualities and ability to promote teamwork
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards in conduct, professionalism, and care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document ongoing conditions post-operatively
  • Develop, implement, and adjust care plans according to established nursing standards
  • Monitor and manage patient recovery from anesthesia with attention to safety and comfort
  • Coordinate, delegate, and provide direct patient care alongside other health professionals
  • Assist the operating surgeon within the RNFA scope when required, adhering to facility protocols
  • Uphold facility guidelines, policies, and regulatory requirements in all care activities
  • Promote a collaborative, supportive environment for both patients and the surgical team
