Deliver expert perioperative care while supporting surgical teams as a Registered Nurse in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This contract role is based in Los Osos, CA, offering a dynamic environment to apply nursing skills in patient assessment, care planning, and implementation within an established surgical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on individual needs and surgical procedures.
- Coordinate and delegate nursing care team activities to ensure seamless patient recovery in the PACU.
- Assist the primary operating surgeon during perioperative phases, promoting optimal patient outcomes.
- Uphold rigorous Standards of Nursing Practice and contribute to collaborative interdisciplinary healthcare delivery.
- Demonstrate leadership and professionalism while adhering to facility policies and reporting protocols.
- Maintain personal accountability aligned with organizational conduct, quality, service, and cost standards.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with PACU experience.
- Proficient in perioperative nursing with the ability to support operating surgeons intraoperatively.
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills to manage patient care effectively.
- Familiarity with nursing standards and teamwork in a surgical setting.
