This travel assignment will place you in a distinguished, academic medical center that serves as a level 1 trauma and stroke center, widely recognized for its leadership in both clinical outcomes and teaching. Schedule/Hours:

  • Travel assignment with variable scheduling

Qualifications/Experience:

  • RN, current licensure
  • 1 year of pediatric critical care required, 2+ years preferred
  • Experience with at least one previous travel assignment (first-time travelers not accepted)
  • BLS and PALS certifications required
  • Comfortable managing gtts (heparin, insulin, some cardiac)
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, excellent team player
  • Experience with telemetry, post-op care, and occasional adult patients

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Deliver high-quality care to primarily pediatric post-op patients (ages 017)
  • Assess, monitor, and manage acute post-anesthesia needs within an open bay environment
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including educators and transport staff
  • Utilize EPIC EMR, Alaris pumps, Omnicell, and Philips monitors
  • Occasional floating to care for adult post-op patients as unit needs dictate
