Youll work in a Level 1 Trauma and academic medical center, supporting pediatric patients across a range of surgical specialties. - Travel position
Qualifications:
- Active RN license, with at least 1 year of nursing experience (2+ years in critical care peds preferred)
- Prior completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- Confident in managing gtts common in ICUs (e.g., heparin, insulin, some cardiac)
- Comfortable with telemetry monitoring, using EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, and Philips monitors
- Adaptable, collaborative, and eager to ask questions in a team-oriented, open bay PACU
- Resourceful and self-motivated
Responsibilities:
- Provide post-anesthesia care for pediatric patients (ages 017) after a variety of surgeries (excluding cardiac), with occasional adult patient coverage
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, manage high-acuity needs, and monitor telemetry
- Cooperate with transporters, receptionists, and PACU educators; utilize dedicated support staff
- Adhere to strict clinical protocols and contribute to an "all hands on deck" culture
