As a travel RN in a specialized pediatric PACU, youll enhance your professional skills in a high-acuity environment handling a diverse variety of surgical cases. This role offers the benefit of working within an academic medical center, recognized as both a Level 1 Trauma and Stroke Center, and a destination for advanced pediatric care.

Schedule:
- Travel position; variable shifts
Role Requirements:
- Active RN license, with a minimum of 1 year (2 years preferred) in critical care pediatrics
- Prior completion of at least one travel assignment (no first-time travelers)
- Certifications in BLS and PALS required
- Comfortable with managing ICU-level infusions (heparin, insulin, cardiac); limited BiPAP usage as primarily post-op
- Team-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable to open bay unit culture
- Experience using EPIC EMR preferred
Position Duties:
- Direct care for pediatric (occasionally adult) post-anesthesia patients
- Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2, acuity dependent
- Responsible for telemetry monitoring and collaborating with PACU educator, charge RN, and support staff
- Occasional floating to adult patient care (non-cardiac surgical patients)
