Schedule/Hours:

• Travel position with rotating shifts

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN license with minimum 1 year of experience in critical care pediatric settings (2 years preferred)
• At least one prior travel nursing assignment completed
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Experience managing common ICU infusions (heparin, insulin, cardiac drips)
• Proficiency in post-op pediatric care; occasional experience with adult patients is a plus
• Team player, resourceful, open to mentorship in a collaborative environment
• Comfort with telemetry monitoring and EMR systems (EPIC preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide recovery care for pediatric patients (ages 0-17) post-surgery, across various surgical specialties
• Manage 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratios depending on acuity, ensuring safety and quality care
• Collaborate within an open bay unit, fluidly supporting colleagues and responding to patient volume
• Use advanced technology: IV Pumps (Alaris), Med Dispensing (Omnicell), Monitors (Philips)
• Liaise with unit support, including dedicated charge nurse/manager, 24/7 anesthesia, and PACU educator
• Float as needed, occasionally caring for adults in a pediatric environment
