A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse skilled in Preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing. This contract position offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule, providing an excellent work-life balance with consistent 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Preop and PACU nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Familiarity with EMR systems preferred, with training provided for an Altera Sunrise platform similar to Cerner
- Ability to float between Preop and PACU as needed, with occasional assistance in Specials for transfusions
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to patients in Preoperative and PACU settings
- Monitor patient status and coordinate care during surgical procedures and recovery
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Participate in orientation and training programs to maintain up-to-date clinical skills
Additional Details:
- This is a contract position with a start date in mid-February or March
- Orientation includes a two-day hospital orientation followed by on-site training
- The facility is nicotine-free and encourages nurses living within 30 minutes to consider on-call duties
- Bi-weekly pay structure with flexibility provided in scheduling
