This dynamic position exposes you to a variety of perioperative pediatric cases, giving you invaluable exposure to diverse surgical specialties (excluding cardiac). Youll gain fresh perspectives on clinical best practices through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and dedicated leadership. Every day, youll work with advanced technologiessuch as EPIC EMR, Alaris IV Pumps, Omnicell automated dispensing, and Philips monitoring systemsin a busy unit that sees an average of 3040 patients per day.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Travel role with variable shifts

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active RN license
  • 1 year of critical care pediatric experience required (2 years preferred)
  • BLS and PALS certifications
  • At least one completed travel assignment (first-time travelers not accepted)
  • Proficiency in managing common ICU gtts (heparin, insulin, occasional cardiac)
  • Strong teamwork orientation and resourcefulness

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to pediatric post-anesthesia patients (ages 017)
  • Telemetry monitoring, medication administration, and close observation of post-operative recovery
  • Collaborate with PACU educators, dedicated charge nurses, anesthesia, and transport support
  • Occasionally provide care for adult patients as needed
