This position works primarily with pediatric patients in a busy Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, contributing to a dynamic team culture that values adaptability and strong collaborationideal for professionals seeking to advance their careers and diversify their skill set.
Schedule/Hours:
- Flexible travel assignment (exact schedule provided upon offer)
- Supportive onboarding, including orientation and precepted shifts
Qualifications:
- Active RN license with at least 1 year of experience in pediatric critical care (2 years preferred)
- Previous travel nursing experience (at least one completed assignment)
- BLS & PALS certifications required
- Proficiency with ICU-level drips (heparin, insulin, cardiac), and experience monitoring telemetry
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver attentive PACU nursing care to pediatric patients (inpatient and outpatient, ages 017)
- Manage patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 based on acuity
- Respond to diverse surgical recovery needs, covering most specialties (excluding cardiac)
- Occasionally assist with adult patients as needed to support unit operations
- Engage in a collaborative, all-hands-on-deck environment
- Perform telemetry monitoring; no phlebotomy required
- Utilize state-of-the-art technology: EPIC EMR, Alaris IV Pumps, Omnicell, Philips monitors
