This travel role places you in a dynamic Pediatric PACU unit within an acclaimed academic medical center recognized for advanced trauma care, stroke and chest pain excellence, and comprehensive pediatric services. Schedule:
- Rotating shifts; details to be provided during interview
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license with at least one prior travel assignment completed
- 1 year of pediatric critical care experience required; 2 years preferred
- Current BLS and PALS certifications
- Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and collaborative approach
- Experience with telemetry monitoring, various medication drips, EPIC, Alaris, Omnicell, and Philips monitoring preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients (ages 017), with occasional adult cases
- Manage post-operative assessments, medication drips, and monitoring
- Work synergistically in an open bay, all hands on deck unit atmosphere
- Liaise effectively with transporters, dedicated leadership, and PACU educator
- Ensure accurate electronic documentation and patient hand-offs
