- Travel assignment
Qualifications:
- Active RN license; minimum 1 year of critical care pediatric PACU experience (2 years preferred)
- At least one completed travel assignment required
- BLS and PALS certifications
- Strong skills with telemetry, insulin/heparin drips, occasional BiPAP and rare adult patient care
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR, Philips monitors, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing
- Adaptable, enthusiastic team player with a resourceful, all hands on deck mindset
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care to pediatric inpatients and outpatients across surgical specialties (excluding cardiac)
- Independently monitor telemetry and manage acuity-dependent nurse-patient ratios (1:1 or 1:2)
- Collaborate with support staff, including educators, charge nurses, and anesthesia partners
- Engage in department teamwork, occasionally supporting adult patient care as needed
- Maintain accurate records and uphold unit standards within an open bay setting
