Qualifications:

  • Active RN license; minimum 1 year of critical care pediatric PACU experience (2 years preferred)
  • At least one completed travel assignment required
  • BLS and PALS certifications
  • Strong skills with telemetry, insulin/heparin drips, occasional BiPAP and rare adult patient care
  • Proficiency in EPIC EMR, Philips monitors, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing
  • Adaptable, enthusiastic team player with a resourceful, all hands on deck mindset

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care to pediatric inpatients and outpatients across surgical specialties (excluding cardiac)
  • Independently monitor telemetry and manage acuity-dependent nurse-patient ratios (1:1 or 1:2)
  • Collaborate with support staff, including educators, charge nurses, and anesthesia partners
  • Engage in department teamwork, occasionally supporting adult patient care as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold unit standards within an open bay setting
