This travel assignment focuses on delivering specialized care to pediatric patients in a post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) setting. With a high average patient census and varied surgical specialties, you will strengthen your critical thinking, adaptability, and collaborative skills. You'll work side by side with dedicated support staff, PACU educators, and experienced leadership who value teamwork and diverse perspectives.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN license.
- Minimum of 1 year recent pediatric critical care experience required; 2 years preferred.
- Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment.
- BLS and PALS certifications.
- Strong skills in IV medication management, telemetry monitoring, and familiarity with EPIC and Omnicell systems.
- Confident in high-acuity pediatric care settings.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and excels in collaborative, open bay unit environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients (ages 017); occasional adult patients as needed.
- Monitor vital signs and manage drips common in critical care (heparin, insulin, cardiac).
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, support patient transport, and ensure efficient handoffs.
- Responsible for telemetry monitoring, with support from anesthesia and a dedicated charge nurse.
