Schedule/Hours:
- Travel position
- Call requirements: 1 weekend per month and one night per week
Primary Duties:
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU)
- Monitor vital signs and recovery progress while ensuring patient safety and comfort post-procedure
- Collaborate efficiently with multidisciplinary teams and communicate patient needs effectively
- Initiate discharge planning and thorough patient/family education
- Adhere to stringent hospital protocols and infection control standards
Qualifications:
- Current RN license, valid in TX or compact states
- Minimum of 1-2 years PACU experience strongly preferred
- BLS, ACLS certifications (required); PALS certification (preferred)
- Exceptional clinical assessment, organizational, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts and cover scheduled call needs
