A registered nurse with recent experience in Preoperative (Preop) and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) settings is needed for a rewarding contract position in the Kansas City metropolitan area. This role offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule with 8-hour shifts, perfect for nurses seeking consistency and professional growth in perioperative nursing.
Qualifications or Desired Experience:
- Current RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Preop and PACU nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems; prior experience with Cerner or similar systems preferred but not mandatory

Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to surgical patients in Preop and PACU units
- Monitor patient status, manage post-anesthesia recovery, and ensure safety and comfort
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Flexibly assist in related areas such as transfusion services when required
- Participate in scheduled orientations to adapt to facility protocols and technology
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
