Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Taking on this assignment means handling post-anesthesia care strictly within the OR environment, with patient ratios ranging from 1:4 up to a maximum of 1:6. Dependable and reliable nursing professionals will thrive in this dynamic setting. The role offers direct, hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment where clinical acumen and adaptability are key.
Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum of 3 years' PACU experience; those with 5 years or more are strongly preferred
- Previous OR setting or inpatient RN experience is beneficial
- Demonstrated reliability and a strong commitment to patient care
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia
- Monitor and assess vital signs, promptly responding to changing patient conditions
- Administer medications and manage intravenous lines as needed
- Deliver effective patient and family education regarding post-procedure care
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team to ensure optimal outcomes
