Schedule/Hours:
- Shifts vary: 8, 10, or 12 hours
- Days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays (unit dependent)
- On-call: 0-3 times per month (8-hour night or 24-hour weekends/holidays)
- Flexibility required; hours and shift preference not guaranteed
Qualifications:
- Active Hawaii RN license (or ability to obtain before start)
- Minimum 2 years of critical care RN experience (ER/ICU) in a hospital OR PACU experience
- BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association
- PALS recommended; other specialty-specific certifications (NIHSS, TNCC) a plus
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to assess post-anesthesia patients
- Proof of flu vaccination or approved exemption (can be completed during clearance appointment)
Responsibilities:
- Provide care for patients pre-op, during Phase I and II recovery
- Monitor post-surgical patients for stability/complications, incision sites, and vital signs
- Operate equipment such as Meditech, PCA pumps, Pyxis, Braun IV pumps, and monitors
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
