This travel assignment at a high-acuity academic medical center offers exposure to a diverse patient population in a Level 1 Trauma and Stroke Center with world-class teaching resources. By caring for pediatric patients in a dynamic 20-bay Peds PACU, youll advance your expertise, learn from experienced leaders, and expand your rsum with skills in critical care and perioperative nursing.
Schedule/Hours:
- Shifts and hours provided upon interview; opportunities for flexible travel scheduling.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 1 year of critical care pediatric experience (2 years strongly preferred)
- Completion of at least one prior travel nursing assignment
- Required Certifications: BLS, PALS
- Strong teamwork skills; adaptable and resourceful in fast-paced settings
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized nursing care to pediatric post-op patients
- Manage common ICU drips (heparin, insulin, select cardiac)
- Provide vigilant telemetry monitoring
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including PACU educators and dedicated charge nurses
- Care for occasional adult patients as needed
- Utilize EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, and Philips monitors
