Schedule/Hours:

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with at least 1 year of critical care pediatric (Peds) experience; 2 years preferred.
  • Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment.
  • BLS and PALS certifications required.
  • Proficient with heparin, insulin, and cardiac gtts in a post-op PACU setting.
  • Comfortable with telemetry monitoring, occasional adult patient care, and an all-hands-on-deck team environment.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and collaborative; open-bay unit experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care to pediatric (ages 0-17) PACU patients from a variety of surgical specialties (excluding cardiac).
  • Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2, acuity dependent.
  • Manage patients with critical drips; limited post-op BiPAP management as needed.
  • Collaborate with transport, HUC/receptionist staff, education resources, and leadership support.
  • Participate in floating to occasional adult PACU care based on unit demand.
  • Utilize advanced technology including EPIC EMR and Philips monitoring systems.
