Working in this academic medical center and Level 1 Trauma facility, youll build your expertise within a busy pediatric PACU that manages a diverse case mix and collaborates with skilled professionals. This is an excellent setting to broaden your clinical acumen, refine post-anesthesia care techniques, and strengthen your adaptability by experiencing a fast-paced, supportive environment. Schedule/Hours
- Schedule will be based on facility needs; flexibility is a plus.
Desired Qualifications
- Active RN license with at least 1 year of pediatric critical care experience (2 years preferred)
- At least one previous travel assignment completed
- BLS and PALS certification required
- Strong clinical skills in IV management, medication drips, and postoperative care
- Excellent problem-solving skills, resourceful and collaborative attitude
Key Responsibilities
- Provide care for pediatric post-anesthesia patients (ages 017) with occasional adult cases as needed
- Monitor telemetry and administer medications (heparin, insulin, cardiac drips)
- Collaborate closely with PACU educators, anesthesia, and department colleagues
- Adapt to an open-bay, team-oriented unit requiring all hands on deck
